Jennifer Kim, CFP®

Jennifer Kim, an Investment Advisor Representative and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner, joined Voya Financial Advisors in 2015. Jennifer assists her clients with growing their wealth, protecting and preserving their wealth and distributing it in the most tax sensitive way to keep more of what they earn. She coaches her clients on how to identify their priorities and chart a course. Jennifer's focus on tax minimization strategies and the role economic conditions play on the financial market helps her in educating her clients and ensuring they feel confident in their financial decisions. Jennifer uses a holistic approach to financial planning to help her clients work towards their unique life goals and plans. Jennifer is passionate about teaching people about financial management and accomplishing more than they thought possible.

Jennifer graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science degree. She furthered her education with a Master in Public Affairs with a concentration in economics and public policy from Princeton University. Jennifer studied under notable professors including Economics Nobel Laureate Angus Deaton, Alan Krueger, and Cecilia Rouse. In addition to the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, Jennifer holds Series 7, 66 securities registrations, and Life and Health Insurance licenses as required by the State of Texas.

Prior to 2015, Jennifer was the first Asian American and minority woman elected to the Austin City Council. She also served as a policy analyst and project officer for the Economic Development Administration with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
